I think you should spend more for a better quality

I think the design of the knife and overall quality is not great. It may be acceptable for the price point but overall I think you should spend more to get a more reliable and higher quality knife. Here's why: Opening the knife one handed means using the thumstub. Do not be fooled into thinking there is a flipper. However, the placement of the raised jimping point that protrudes from the knife collides with the other side of your hand when you near the locking out range of deployment. It might be a small and minor issue to some but it means that your hand placement has to be very precise in order to have a truly seamless deployment. Additionally it is possible to shake the knife open from a closed position with sufficient force. This might be seen as a good or bad thing depending if you value security of a closed folder or the value of an alternative deployment means. If you do find it useful, please know that the washers are stiff to the point where you would have to apply a lot of force to get it to lock out fully and I was surprised at how many times I tried to do so thinking I applied enough force but the knife only opened half way. Some good things: - Under $50 including shipping - Lightweight - Sharp out of Box - Ergonomics acceptable minus the bad placement of raised jimping point To conclude, I still find this knife acceptable to do all EDC tasks like opening boxes, cutting rope etc. However, I think that you could invest more for a better knife with a better steel and design and feel that the quality is night and day. I would not recommend this knife to anyone but if one fell out of the sky and into your hands for free, I don't think you could complain that much.
